- Merchant (You): The business or individual using the Service on a Shopify store.

2. Collecting and Using Your Data
Types of Data Collected
To provide the Service, we collect specific information from your Shopify Account via Shopify's API:
A. Merchant Information
- Store Details: Shop domain (`myshopify.com`), shop name, and primary store email address.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app dashboard (e.g., banner creation, scene scheduling).
B. End-Customer Data
We generally do not collect or store Personal Identifiable Information (PII) of your store's customers.Our Service primarily functions to display visual elements (banners/scenes) on your storefront. Any interaction data (such as views or clicks) is aggregated and anonymized for analytics purposes.
Use of Data
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Service: Enabling banner rendering and scene management on your storefront.
- To Communicate: Sending essential administrative emails (e.g., installation welcome, critical updates, or support ticket replies) to your store email address.
- To Improve the Service: Analyzing aggregated usage patterns to enhance performance and features.
3. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data only as long as the App is installed on your Shopify store.
- Upon Uninstall: Your configuration data is soft-deleted.
- After 48 Hours: Per Shopify's requirements, we comply with "Shop Redact" webhooks to permanently remove store data after uninstallation.
4. Disclosure of Data
We do not sell your data. We may disclose your data only in the following situations:
- Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition.
5. Limitation of Liability (Disclaimer)

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GalacticWave Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
- Any content obtained from the Service; and
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
6. Security
The security of your data is important to us. We utilize industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption and secure database management provided by Cloudflare D1. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
